My Goals for Podcast Movement 2026

I’m headed to Podcast Movement 2026, and I’ve been thinking less about what sessions I need to attend and more about what I actually want to get out of the trip.

Mostly, I want to meet people.

I’ve been working in and around podcasting for years, and there are people in this industry I’ve known online for nearly a decade. People whose podcasts I’ve appeared on, people I’ve interviewed, and people I’ve worked alongside without ever actually meeting in person.

Podcast Movement feels like a chance to finally change that.

I want to connect with people I already know, meet some new ones, and have real conversations about where podcasting is headed.

That feels especially important right now.

Podcasting keeps getting pushed toward more video, more social content, more clips, more platforms, and now more AI. There are plenty of opportunities in all of that, but I’m interested in talking with people about what actually matters.

What makes a show worth listening to?

Where does video really help?

How is AI actually improving podcast production?

And how do we keep podcasting from becoming unnecessarily complicated?

I’m also looking forward to talking more about the work I’m doing professionally in podcasting and with Podcast Setup — helping people make better decisions around the tools, technology, workflows, and strategy behind their shows.

But the real goal of the trip is simple:

Meet people I’ve known online for years. Have good conversations. Learn what others are working on. Share what I’m working on.

See you there!
